INCO WEEKLY NEWSLETTER 10/12

Our apologies for the delay. A technical glitch and a bit of human error interfered with our usual Monday morning delivery.
ACTION PRIORITIES
 www.indivisible.org
Contact your Members of Congress now.
How will they know what you want if you don't tell them?

1. Strengthen hurricane recovery in Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands. Read Indivisible's report here.

2. Enact sensible gun safety laws to prevent gun-related murders and suicides. "Thoughts and prayers" are not enough. Read Indivisible's report here.

3. Reauthorize the Children's Health Insurance Program.
Congress delayed reauthorizing a program giving 9 million kids health insurance. Oregon's funds run out by December, Washington's by March. Read Indivisible's report here.

4. The Trump-GOP tax scam.  The GOP is pushing boggling budget cuts to provide more tax cuts for the wealthy. Indivisible's report is here. The Tax Policy Center analysis is here.

5. DACA. Congress needs to enact legislation that provides permanent relief to childhood arrivals. Read Indivisible's updated report here.
INCO Indivisibles in Action
"Thanks to Nancy Cook and Clatsop Community College for encouraging kindness at the Ales & Ideas lecture last night (October 5) at Fort George Brewery, and for inviting us to share info/education about Immigration in this country, how it works and how we can be supportive to many members of our community. Astoria Community Group co-organizers Tiffiny Whitney Mitchell & Steve Bronstein manning the table - a great evening, great subject matter, great energy to spread out in our lives."
