Months after Trump’s budget was declared “dead on arrival” (http://read.bi/2qdVX4Y), the Senate GOP released its version. The GOP budget plans to use reconciliation to pass tax cuts for the wealthy with only 50 votes, while glossing over the drastic funding reductions needed to pay for these cuts, and adding $1.5 trillion to the deficit http://bit.ly/2xNUVTt.
The GOP budget assumes unspecified trillions in nonmilitary spending cuts and unrealistic economic growth, concealing the true impact of the tax cuts. http://nyti.ms/2wrdpGc. Medicare and Social Security will be at risk.
