ACTION: KEEP CALLING ON HEALTHCARE

From Indivisible Oregon...

**CALL TO ACTION**

——————————————————————————————
KEEP THOSE HEALTH CARE CALLS COMING
——————————————————————————————
#KillTheBill
#NoCutsNoCaps
#AmericanDeathCareAct

The latest Senate health care bill is no improvement. Medicaid cuts are STILL deeper than the House version. Insurance companies can STILL write policies without coverage for maternity care or ambulance rides and with low lifetime caps. Pre-existing conditions STILL are barriers to receiving health care. All this before considering lost coverage for older adults, people with disabilities, and children.

Sen. McConnell is planning a vote next week. He is offering deals. He is having an emergency meeting at 11:30 EST.

This fight is NOT OVER.
-- Not one sitting governor supported the first McConnell plan. http://bit.ly/2uj15L4
-- Keeping the tax on the wealthiest and tossing in some other available resources will only restore 1/5th of the proposed $1.2 trillion in cuts to services.  http://bit.ly/2t4rdJj
-- The Senate plan will cover just 58% of costs under a minimal individual plan. A major illness will ruin anyone with a modest income. http://wapo.st/2ujjuaz
-- Think Medicaid cuts won’t affect you (or your parents) because of Medicare? Read this. http://nyti.ms/2ujLM4B

What can you do? CALL. YOUR. SENATORS.  CALL. YOUR. FRIENDS.  Have them CALL. THEIR. SENATORS.

It’s worked so far.

But it’s not over till it’s over.
