ACTION: CALL FOR A VOTE ON KEEPING RUSSIAN SANCTIONS

From Indivisible Oregon...

**CALL TO ACTION**

VOTE TO KEEP RUSSIA SANCTIONS
—————————————————————————————
(After catching up on Russia, we will be making calls on Trumpcare later this week. Stay tuned!)
US intelligence agencies definitively state that Russia attacked the United States 2016 elections. It was ONLY the Russians http://politi.co/2tA35v4
Evidence keeps pouring in showing the extent of the Russian attack
– 39 states’ voting apparatus were attacked
--attempts were made to change or delete voter data
-- https://bloom.bg/2rdvwgw
Russia denies interfering in our elections. And by all accounts Trump takes Russia at their word http://cnn.it/2uFhPZM. He dismisses US intelligence agencies and says anyone could have done it http://wapo.st/2sU1gfe.
President Obama enacted sanctions against Russia for this brazen attack to undermine our democracy. And Trump is working to undo them
--the state department was pressured to lift sanctions
--visa’s have been given to over 150 Russian spies
--the Trump Administration is looking to give Russia back a compound in Maryland

Congress had a chance to send a message to Russia. The Senate passed S 722, which strengthens Russian sanction, 98-2. But House leadership has put the bill on hold. http://reut.rs/2t7txfw
Congress must do its job. It must show it can be a check on the executive branch and provide oversite on Trump. The Senate passed S 722. Now it is the House’s turn.
