A BETTER ELECTION

Several area residents are working to get the National Popular Vote interstate compact passed in the Oregon legislature. This would allow Oregon and other partner states to give their electoral college votes to the winner of the national popular vote. The NPV compact bypasses the electoral college and doesn't require an amendment to the US Constitution.

Ask Clatsop County's state senator to support Senate Bill 823 for the NPV in Oregon:
State Senator Betsy Johnson, 503-986-1716

and these three on the Senate Rules Committee:
Chairwoman Senator Ginny Burdick, 503-986-1700 Sen.GinnyBurdick@oregonlegislature.gov
Senator Arnie Roblan, 503-986-1705  Sen.ArnieRoblan@oregonlegislature.gov
Senator Lee Beyer, 503-986-1706 Sen.LeeBeyer@oregonlegislature.gov
